Families and individuals often struggle with stress from work, from parenting, from culture changes, relationships, and finance. The Brea Resource Center (BRC) offers affordable counseling for individuals of all ages, as well as for family groups.
Professional counselors deal with a wide range of issues including depression, bereavement, anxiety, and couples communication. They can help families cope with divorce, anger issues, discipline, and other interpersonal dynamics. Counseling can ease crisis situations and feelings of isolation. Counseling is conducted in a quiet, private setting within offices at the Brea Community Center.
Counseling hours are by appointment only Monday through Friday. Session fees range from $20 to $30 for Brea residents, with a one-time intake fee of $35; and $30 to $40 for non-residents, with a one-time intake fee of $35. The process is simple! To get started please call the Brea Resource Center at 714-990-7150 to set up an intake appointment with one of our staff members.
The BRC offers free support groups focused around specific needs and/or topics, such as single parents, marriage, Spanish speaking parents, self-esteem, depression, healthy relationships, and enculturation.
